"Rikki-tikki-tavi", by Rudyard Kipling and "The Noble Experiment", Jackie Robinson's autobiography (excerpt), are the text selections you will need to review to answer the essential question: How do individuals overcome personal challenges and obstacles in life?

Personal Challenges: Strength and Courage is the unit theme. In order to demonstrate your understanding in the cumulative task, you will be expected to:

  • define in your own words the essential question, giving examples
  • provide text-based details as support

Our team, The Explorers, are sponsoring "No name calling week".

Each day, we will serve as role models by participating in daily events at the end of each  English class. We want our efforts and mission to spread school wide. Our mission  is to motivate students and staff to continually acknowledge the negative aspects of bullying, and build a safe, academic community for all.

See Ms. K or any of your teachers if you want to contribute ideas or lend a hand for any part.
